GET READY FOR THE WEEKEND WITH THIS BEAUTY TIP (From our beauty advisor Vero)

Scrubs are a luxurious way to pamper skin since they exfoliate and mosturize at the same time and will leave skin feeling smooth and soft.

You can make it yourself without having to buy expensive stuff. It's a quick and easy way to have a spa experience at home.

Let me give you 3 options: a sugar scrub, a sea salt scrub and a oatmeal scrub.

Sugar Scrub: mix 1 cup of white sugar, 1 cup of extra virgin olive oil, 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel and 8 drops of essential oil of your choice (maybe lavander, rosewood or jazmin)

Sea Salt Scrub: mix 1/4 cup of finé sea salt, 1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil, 3 to 5 drops of lavander essential oil. Add a bit of water or liquid soap while using.

Oatmeal Scrub: mix 1 tablespoon of oats, 2 tablespoons of natural yogurt and 1 teaspoon of honey.

You can try with other ingredientes like coconut oil, almond oil, avocado and different scents of essential oils. Let your immagination run and your senses wake up. Enjoy!

T-SHIRT OBSESSION

It looks that the t -shirt lately gained more importance in every day style.

if somebody took their time to read old post about style tips in my blog you can easily notice my love for effortless fashion (or apparently effortless style).

So one of my fav look is combine a simple t-shirt with something more elaborated (or not) or powerfull accesories. personally my fav "T" are stripes, vintage or, allways stylish.simple white. what do you think ? what is your  more loyal "T"?

INSPIRATIONAL PEOPLE AND CAREERS : RODARTE SISTERS ( Kate and Laura Mulleavy)

In the mood of research for inspiration I decide to investigate more about RODARTE sisters. I remembered that a while ago I had read about their story and how they had begun their fashion design careers.

They both went to college at Berkeley and none of them studied fashion design , Kate is an art-history major and Laura started as a biology major and after her first semester she switched to English. In 2002 after college they moved back to their home parents and watch horror movies,litterally, for a year.

In 2004 they decided to begin a small collection with some money saved from selling Laura first ipod,waiting tables and selling a prized record collection.They made 10 pieces , 7 dresses and 3 coats on their kitchen table and their mom taught them basic sewing skills and read up on couture sewing techniques.One thing took to an other. they sent crafted paper doll versions of the dresses to LA vintage clothing expert Cameron Silver who recommend them to editors in New York..In 2005 Women's Wear Daily called them and  put them on the cover. A few weeks later Anna Wintour went to see the small collection and told them "what you are doing is very personal you should keep it that way" and in september of the same year they made their debut at New York fashion week .

Since then they had win several prizes made costume design for ballet and movies and Rodarte is in the permanent collection of costume institute of the Metropolitan Museum of art and they still creates collection after collection maintaining their unique style that comes from themes like japanese horror movies without never loosing the poetry that has become the touchstone of their work." We want to create collections that are beautiful ,wearability is subjective".

This modern fairy tale is very inspirational for me.

Why I find it inspirational?

1. It makes me feel that if something it' s meant to be it will happend

2. Even if I believe in point 1 above I really believe that work and passion is essential to realize your dreams

3. I really believe more than ever that being true to your self it's the most important thing when it comes to creativity, comunication and self-realization.

So please take notes, because you can be whoever you propose yourself to be!!

LET IT FLOW

I haven't post something since a week ago or more I think..I've been traveling a little bit and with my little daughter so I actually I did not had time time to even think. Well,truth is that I never stop thinking. all the time I'm thinking about inspiration and stuff .  well inspiration actually has been just a small part of my thinking. Travelling is so important for my mental sanity I can't say that I have traveled in a lot of places actually I repeat over and over the same cities. When you have friends all over the world at the end of the day you are going to choose places were you can catch up with them. So what happens to me is that I'm going in circles all the time.so this time I went back to my fav city in the world,amazing London. I think that if I have a place were I feel like home is there! I'm in love even if this time I did not go to my usual places to visit and have lived  the city a whole new perspective and London just never let me down!

So I've been thinking alot about where I should be, if this is just a dream or if it's real, I know too well the difference between dream and reality. it's better to stick with your actual reality or take the risk one more time and pursue your dreaming city? Is the same question I have in my mind since.. well since forever I think and I still don't have the answer but if I've learned something from life it's to let flow and life will take you where you are meant to be. So a will "keep calm and carry on"!

Today I was looking to the collections for next spring summer and There were so many inspiring looks and I want to illustrate a lot of them! So for the firts day of  fashion week I want to open this series of illustrations with this beautiful romantic look by Red Valentino. WEDNESDAY SKETCH

WONDERING ABOUT .. FAMOUS BLOGERS.

I have a feeling..I don't know if it's good bringing it out but today I was looking to all these fashion blogs       ( that I actually follow )and it led me thinking about outfits,photos and lifestyle. I may be jelous,probably I am! they have all this amazing lifes all around their cloths ,travelig so much and their are real VIP! They are models in every moment of their lifes ,they walk around the streets looking so casual and all they have to worry about is what their are going to wear. Certainly there is more work in the basckstage that we all can imagine ( I hope so) they are always talking about new project and stuff so some sort of talent they should have . Maybe I am just to shy because I can't be so casual in front at a camera and for sure I can't afford new cloths evey day so I really think that my wondering have to be about jelousy and envy.. A bad thing I know so sorry for my outburst!

I will like to have all sorts of new glamorous projects ,expesive and beautiful new cloths and more of that a real reason to wear them and I will like to live in a beautiful and interesting city were everything happens.. but the reality is an other.. I am a normal person living in a normal city were almoust nothing happens ( well actually something happens, like is almoust ligal marijuana and gay marrige is already a right ). The other day someone told me a story about 2 brothers ( or they were friends?) that lived in a small town and who worked in a factory and never had time to go to the gym because at the time they started work or  finish working the gym was allready closed so they had this magnificent idea and opened a gym by night,end of the story? they  are billionaires with many many gyms all over the country living in a huge mansion maybe in L.A.  Moral of the story? there is hope for everybody even if you live in a small town in a desert island. Can you believe that? so we can believe in fashion bloggers with great  lifestyles and look at them like the new Snowwhite that all of us would like to be! 

And for the note I love all this fashion bloggers and their great style and really admire them, the thing is that sometimes I am  a little bored and hope to see something really diferent and inspiring ,in the biginning it was exciting  but now I always hope for something new and different!
